Why it matters for golf
This is a landmine row variation. Rowing off the anchored bar builds upper back and lat strength while the trunk holds its position, the strength a golfer needs to keep posture through the swing.
Coaching cues
- Hinge and set a flat back before you pull.
- Row the bar to the torso.
- Squeeze the shoulder blades at the top.
- Lower under control.
Common faults
- Standing up out of the hinge to finish the pull.
- Rounding the back.
- Yanking reps with momentum.
