Why it matters for golf
The Meadows row is a one arm row off the landmine sleeve from a staggered hinge. It builds lat and upper back strength one side at a time while the trunk resists rotation, a strong match for the posture demands of the swing.
Coaching cues
- Stagger the stance and hinge over the bar.
- Grip the end of the sleeve.
- Row the elbow up and back.
- Keep the shoulders square, no twisting to lift.
Common faults
- Torso rotates open to move the weight.
- Shrugging the shoulder instead of rowing.
- Losing the hinge as reps add up.
