Why it matters for golf
Leg drive plus rotation into a one arm press trains ground up force transfer. The landmine arc keeps the shoulder in a friendly path while the hips and trunk do the driving, the same order the swing uses.
Coaching cues
- Dip with the legs, chest tall.
- Drive up and turn the hips toward the bar.
- Punch the press along the arc.
- Finish tall and balanced.
Common faults
- All arm, no hip turn.
- The dip tips the chest forward.
- Falling toward the bar at the finish.
