Why it matters for golf
Marching sideways with the landmine forces the trunk and hips to resist rotation and side bend while the feet keep moving. That anti rotation control is the base that lets a golfer rotate fast without losing posture.
Coaching cues
- Hold the load steady and stand tall.
- Take small, controlled lateral steps.
- Keep the hips level.
- Do not let the bar pull you into a twist.
Common faults
- Torso leans away from the load.
- Hips dip side to side with each step.
- Rushing the steps and losing control.
