Why it matters for golf
Landmine rotations train the hips and trunk to rotate against load through a controlled arc. It is direct work on rotary strength and control, the pattern the golf swing is built on.
Coaching cues
- Arms long, move the bar in a wide arc.
- Turn from the hips and trunk, not the shoulders.
- Let the feet pivot naturally.
- Stay tall and control both directions.
Common faults
- Arms swing while the hips stay still.
- Low back arches at the ends of the arc.
- Moving too fast to control the return.
