    Landmine Split Stance Rotation

Landmine rotation performed from a split stance. Isolates trunk rotation while the lower body stays quiet.

    Why it matters for golf

The split stance takes most of the lower body out of the movement, so the trunk has to do the rotating. That isolates upper body rotation over a stable base, useful for golfers learning to separate the upper half from the lower half.

    Coaching cues

    • Set a solid split stance and hold it.
    • Keep the arms long on the bar.
    • Rotate the trunk through the arc.
    • Keep the hips facing forward.

    Common faults

    • Hips swing along with the bar.
    • Arms bend and shorten the arc.
    • Losing balance at the end range.
