    Kettlebell Split Stance Rotational Swing

A rotational swing from a split stance, training hip power and trunk turn on a base that mirrors golf's weight shift.

    Why it matters for golf

The split stance fixes the lower body in a golf-like load: front side posted, trail side driving. Swinging with rotation from that base trains the hips to make power and the trunk to turn without a step to bail out balance.

    Coaching cues

    • Set the split and keep it. Feet stay quiet.
    • Hinge and snap the hips. Power comes from below.
    • Let the trunk rotate over a stable lower body.
    • Finish every rep balanced and tall.

    Common faults

    • Feet shuffling to rescue balance.
    • Rotating through the lower back instead of the hips.
    • Arms steering the bell instead of following the hips.
