Kettlebell Alternating Row
Single-arm rows performed alternately, building pulling strength and trunk stability against a shifting load.
pullcore
Why it matters for golf
Pulling strength balances all the pressing and swinging golfers do, and keeps the upper back strong enough to hold posture through the round. The alternating load also asks the trunk to resist rotation on every rep, the same stability the body needs at impact.
Coaching cues
- Set a flat back and brace before the first pull.
- Row the elbow to the hip, not the shoulder to the ear.
- Keep the hips quiet while the arms alternate.
- Control the lowering. No dropping the bell.
Common faults
- Shrugging the shoulder instead of pulling with the lat.
- Torso twisting or hips rocking as the sides switch.
- Rounding the lower back to reach the bells.
