    Kettlebell Floor Press

A press done lying on the floor, building upper body pushing strength with the shoulder in a safe range.

    Why it matters for golf

Pressing strength supports the arm speed and lead-side stability golfers need through impact. The floor limits the range, which keeps the shoulder in a safer position while still loading the chest, shoulder, and triceps.

    Coaching cues

    • Set the shoulder blade down and back before you press.
    • Let the elbow land soft, about 45 degrees from the body.
    • Press to a full lockout, wrist stacked over elbow.
    • Keep the trunk braced. No arching for extra range.

    Common faults

    • Bouncing the elbow off the floor.
    • Elbow flaring wide and the shoulder rolling forward.
