    Kettlebell Push Press

An overhead press driven by the legs, teaching force transfer from the ground up through the trunk and arm.

    pushpower

    Why it matters for golf

The push press is ground force in action. The legs make the power and the trunk passes it to the bell. That is the same energy transfer the swing depends on: ground, hips, trunk, club.

    Coaching cues

    • Short dip, straight down. Heels stay planted.
    • Drive the legs first. The arm finishes the job.
    • Punch to a full lockout, biceps by the ear.
    • Brace before the dip. Ribs stay down.

    Common faults

    • Dipping forward onto the toes.
    • Leaning back to finish the press.
    • Pressing early and turning it into a slow strict press.
