    Kettlebell Lateral Lunges

Side-to-side lunges under load, building the lateral hip strength behind the weight shift in the golf swing.

    Why it matters for golf

The swing lives in side-to-side motion more than most people think. Loading the trail hip and pushing into the lead side is a lateral move. Lateral lunges build the hip and inner thigh strength that controls that shift.

    Coaching cues

    • Step wide and push the hips back.
    • Keep the trailing leg long and straight.
    • Chest tall, weight through the whole foot.
    • Push off hard to return to standing.

    Common faults

    • Knee driving past the toes with the heel up.
    • Rounding the back to get depth.
    • Collapsing into the inside edge of the foot.
