    Cable Face Pull

Cable face pull that builds the rear shoulders and shoulder-blade muscles that keep the chest up at address.

    pull

    Why it matters for golf

The constant cable load hits the rear delts and mid back through the whole range. Those muscles hold the shoulder blades set, so posture survives a full round and the shoulders survive a full practice week.

    Coaching cues

    • Pull toward the face with high, wide elbows.
    • Finish with the thumbs back and the blades squeezed.
    • Control the weight back, no free fall.
    • Tall spine, ribs stacked.

    Common faults

    • Dropping the elbows into a row.
    • Rocking the torso to move the stack.
