    Cable Core Pull Down

Cable pull-down powered by the trunk, teaching the core and lats to deliver force as one unit.

    pullcore

    Why it matters for golf

The trunk, not the arms, should drive the club. This drill links the lats and abs so force from the big muscles reaches the hands, the same route the downswing takes. The cable keeps the load steady through the whole range.

    Coaching cues

    • Arms long, set the brace first.
    • Pull down with the trunk and lats together.
    • Hips stay quiet, no rocking.
    • Control the stack back up.

    Common faults

    • Arms doing the pull while the core stays passive.
    • Hips hinging back and forth to cheat the rep.
