Band Split Stance Pec Fly
Split stance band fly that builds the chest while the staggered base keeps the trunk stable.
push
Why it matters for golf
The fly builds the chest strength that supports both arms through impact. The split stance turns it into trunk work too, resisting rotation while the arms sweep, which mirrors how the swing loads the body.
Coaching cues
- Staggered stance, band anchored behind you.
- Sweep the arms together in a wide arc, slight elbow bend.
- Hips stay square, no twisting with the band.
- Control the opening back up.
Common faults
- Torso rotating toward the anchor on the return.
- Elbows bending so the fly becomes a press.
