Band Core Pull Down
Band pull-down driven by the trunk, linking the lats and core so force moves through the midsection.
pullcore
Why it matters for golf
The downswing sends force from the big muscles of the trunk out to the hands. This drill links the lats and abs so they pull as one unit, which is exactly how a connected downswing should feel.
Coaching cues
- Anchor the band high, arms long to start.
- Brace first, then pull down with the trunk and lats together.
- Keep the hips quiet, let the core do the work.
- Control the band back up, no snapping tall.
Common faults
- All arms, no trunk.
- Hips rocking back and forth to cheat the rep.
