    Band Pallof Press

Anti-rotation press that teaches the trunk to resist twist, the stability side of separation.

    rotationcore

    Why it matters for golf

Rotational power only transfers if the trunk can also resist rotation. The Pallof press trains the obliques and deep core to hold position while force pulls you sideways, the same demand the transition puts on the pelvis-ribcage relationship.

    Coaching cues

    • Stand tall, band at sternum height, hands at the chest.
    • Press straight out and pause. Don't let the band pull the arms off centerline.
    • Ribs stacked over pelvis; breathe behind the brace.
    • Step further from the anchor to load it, not by rushing reps.

    Common faults

    • Torso leaning away from the anchor instead of resisting with the core.
    • Shrugging or pressing upward as fatigue sets in.
