    Band Deadlift

Band deadlift that patterns the hip hinge, the base of golf posture and ground-force production.

    hinge

    Why it matters for golf

The hinge is the address position and the loading move of the swing. A strong deadlift pattern lets golfers push into the ground and hold spine angle without the low back doing all the work.

    Coaching cues

    • Feet on the band, hips back, chest up.
    • Push the floor away and stand tall.
    • Squeeze the glutes at the top, no leaning back.
    • Hips and shoulders rise together.

    Common faults

    • Back rounding as the hips shoot up first.
    • Hyperextending at lockout.
