Band Deadlift
Band deadlift that patterns the hip hinge, the base of golf posture and ground-force production.
hinge
Why it matters for golf
The hinge is the address position and the loading move of the swing. A strong deadlift pattern lets golfers push into the ground and hold spine angle without the low back doing all the work.
Coaching cues
- Feet on the band, hips back, chest up.
- Push the floor away and stand tall.
- Squeeze the glutes at the top, no leaning back.
- Hips and shoulders rise together.
Common faults
- Back rounding as the hips shoot up first.
- Hyperextending at lockout.
