pull
Why it matters for golf
The rear delts and rhomboids keep the shoulder blades set and the chest from collapsing at address. That postural strength holds spine angle deep into a round and protects the shoulders over time.
Coaching cues
- Arms long in front, slight bend at the elbows.
- Pull the band apart wide, squeeze the blades.
- Pause at the end, control the return.
- Keep the neck relaxed.
Common faults
- Bending the elbows and rowing instead of flying.
- Shrugging into the ears at the finish.
