Band
Band CS Lateral Step
Banded lateral step that loads the hips side to side, training the pressure shift the swing runs on.

Why it matters for golf
Golf moves sideways before it rotates. Lateral hip strength drives pressure into the lead side and keeps the pelvis stable when the downswing starts. This builds that frontal-plane control directly.
Coaching cues
- Athletic stance, tension on the band before you move.
- Step out with control, land on the whole foot.
- Keep the hips level and the chest steady.
- Bring the trail foot along with control, no dragging.
Common faults
- Torso tipping side to side with each step.
- Knees caving in as the band pulls.
