Wall Shoulder Reach
Shoulder reaches along a wall that restore overhead range, keeping the arm swing long without the back arching.
mobility
Why it matters for golf
The wall guides the arm through a clean overhead path and shows exactly where the shoulder runs out of room. Reclaiming that range lets the arms reach the top of the swing without the lower back arching to help. It protects the shoulders as practice volume climbs.
Coaching cues
- Slide the arm along the wall, slow.
- Keep the ribs down. No arching to cheat height.
- Exhale as you reach farther.
- Pause at the top of each rep.
Common faults
- Arching the lower back to gain reach.
- Shrugging into the neck.
- Fast reps with no control at end range.
