Mobility
Club Wrist Rolls
Wrist circles with a golf club, building the wrist mobility and control that hinge, release, and face control depend on.
mobility
Why it matters for golf
The wrists set the club at the top and release it through impact. Rolling a club through full wrist circles builds range and control in flexion, extension, and deviation. Mobile, controlled wrists improve clubface control and protect against overuse from practice volume.
Coaching cues
- Move slow through the full circle.
- Let the club's weight open the range, do not force it.
- Keep the forearm quiet. The wrist does the work.
- Work both directions evenly.
Common faults
- Rushing through small circles.
- Gripping so hard the wrist cannot move freely.
- Compensating with the elbow and shoulder.
