Tall Kneeling Hip Rotations
Hip rotations from a tall kneeling base, isolating true pelvic rotation without the feet and ankles helping.

Why it matters for golf
Tall kneeling takes the ankles and feet out of the movement, so the pelvis has to rotate on its own. That isolation exposes and trains true hip rotation, the kind the downswing needs. It also builds glute control in a position that punishes cheating.
Coaching cues
- Stay tall from knees to head.
- Rotate the hips slow and keep the ribcage quiet.
- Squeeze the glutes lightly to own the position.
- Exhale through each rotation.
Common faults
- Leaning or side-bending instead of rotating.
- Arching the lower back.
- Rushing the reps.
