Spinal Roll Out
Slow segment-by-segment spinal rolling that restores articulation through the whole spine golf posture depends on.
mobility
Why it matters for golf
The spine works best when every segment contributes a little motion. Rolling through the spine one level at a time finds the stuck segments and restores movement to them. Evenly distributed spinal motion protects the lower back and smooths the turn.
Coaching cues
- Roll one segment at a time. Slow is the drill.
- Exhale on the way through, inhale on the return.
- Stay relaxed. No bracing against the movement.
- If a region moves as one block, give it extra reps.
Common faults
- Rolling in big blocks instead of segment by segment.
- Rushing the tempo.
- Holding the breath.
