    Lying Separation

Lying drill rotating the lower body under a still upper body, building the pelvis-torso separation the swing runs on.

    Why it matters for golf

Lying down takes balance out of the equation so the golfer can isolate pure separation. The lower body rotates while the shoulders stay grounded, opening the trunk rotators through range. It is a direct input to the separation domain of the DRVN Mobility Assessment.

    Coaching cues

    • Keep both shoulders heavy on the floor.
    • Lower the legs with control. No dropping.
    • Exhale as you rotate.
    • Pause at end range for a breath or two.

    Common faults

    • Shoulders peeling off the floor.
    • Using momentum to swing the legs.
    • Holding the breath at end range.
