    Dynamic Windmill

Moving windmill rotations that open the thoracic spine, feeding shoulder turn without stressing the lower back.

    Why it matters for golf

The thoracic spine supplies most of the shoulder turn. Windmilling dynamically takes the mid back through rotation rep after rep, building usable range. More thoracic turn means a fuller backswing with less pull on the lumbar spine.

    Coaching cues

    • Rotate from the mid back, follow the moving hand with your eyes.
    • Keep the hips as still as you can.
    • Exhale as you open on each rep.
    • Smooth tempo. No bouncing at end range.

    Common faults

    • Rotating from the lower back.
    • Hips swinging along with the arm.
    • Rushing reps past a controlled end range.
