Dynamic Separations
Dynamic drill rotating pelvis and torso independently, training the separation that stores and releases swing speed.
mobilityrotation
Why it matters for golf
Separation between pelvis and torso is where swing speed gets stored. This drill rotates one segment while the other holds, building both the range and the control to dissociate them. It maps directly to the separation domain of the DRVN Mobility Assessment.
Coaching cues
- Turn the hips while the chest stays quiet, then swap jobs.
- Move with rhythm. Controlled and repeatable.
- Keep posture tall throughout.
- Exhale through each rotation.
Common faults
- Both segments turning together.
- Swaying sideways instead of rotating.
- Speeding up and losing the dissociation.
