Med ball throw that travels up and over, training full-body extension and power transfer from the ground up.

    Why it matters for golf

Throwing the ball up and over demands full extension from ankles through hips through trunk. That teaches the golfer to use the ground for power instead of just the arms. It rounds out rotational work with a vertical force pattern, and vertical force feeds clubhead speed.

    Coaching cues

    • Load the legs first.
    • Extend through the whole body as the ball goes.
    • Arms finish the throw, they do not start it.
    • Reset fully between reps.

    Common faults

    • Arms-only throws with quiet legs.
    • Cutting the extension short.
    • Falling backward at release.
<!-- VERIFY against video: trajectory and target unclear; confirm whether this is an over-shoulder toss, over-an-object throw, or backward overhead throw. -->
