Sit Ups
The classic sit up. Trunk flexion strength and endurance for a core that handles high swing volume.

Why it matters for golf
Sit ups build trunk flexion strength through a fuller range than crunches, with some hip flexor work along the way. For golfers they are a simple volume tool for a midsection that tolerates thousands of rotations a season.
Coaching cues
- Curl up one segment at a time.
- Exhale as you rise.
- Control the way down, no flopping.
- Keep the feet quiet.
Common faults
- Yanking the neck or throwing the arms.
- Dropping down fast and losing the lowering half of the rep.
