    Why it matters for golf

Clubhead speed starts with force into the ground. Box jumps train the hips, knees, and ankles to extend explosively, the same triple extension that drives the downswing. Landing on the box reduces impact stress, so golfers can train power with less wear.

    Coaching cues

    • Load the hips with a quick arm swing.
    • Jump and land in one smooth motion.
    • Land soft with the whole foot on the box.
    • Stand tall to finish, then step down.

    Common faults

    • Landing in a deep squat because the box is too high.
    • Jumping down instead of stepping down.
