    Single Leg Hip Thrust

A hip thrust driven by one leg. Builds glute strength side by side and exposes gaps a two leg bridge hides.

    Why it matters for golf

Each leg drives hip extension alone, so the drill finds and fixes side to side gaps in glute strength. For golfers that means a trail hip that can load and a lead hip that can post without the low back covering for either.

    Coaching cues

    • Upper back supported, one foot planted.
    • Drive through the heel.
    • Hips level, no tilting.
    • Full lockout, controlled lowering.

    Common faults

    • Pelvis rotating or dropping on the free leg side.
    • Arching the back instead of extending the hips.
