Rotational Separator
A drill that turns the upper body against a stable lower body. Trains the hip to shoulder separation that creates speed.

Why it matters for golf
Separation between the hips and shoulders is where swing speed is stored. This drill trains the upper body to rotate while the lower body holds still, building both the mobility and the control to stretch that gap and use it.
Coaching cues
- Set the lower body and keep it quiet.
- Turn the chest as far as control allows.
- Feel the stretch through the trunk, not the low back.
- Slow and deliberate before adding speed.
Common faults
- Hips leaking along with the shoulders.
- Forcing range from the low back.
