Rotational Chop
A high to low chopping rotation. Trains the core through the diagonal patterns the downswing uses.

Why it matters for golf
The chop moves the trunk through a diagonal, top to bottom rotation, close to the downswing's delivery path. It teaches the hips and trunk to work together and builds oblique strength that both creates and controls rotation.
Coaching cues
- Arms travel high to low across the body.
- Rotate from the hips and trunk, not just the arms.
- Pivot the back foot as you turn through.
- Control the return.
Common faults
- All arms and no hip turn.
- Rounding the back to reach low.
