    RDL To Rotation

A Romanian deadlift hinge followed by a trunk rotation. Links hip hinging to rotation, the golf sequence in slow motion.

    hingerotation

    Why it matters for golf

The swing is a hinge that rotates. Loading the hamstrings in a hinge and then rotating teaches the body to turn from a loaded hip instead of a rounded back. It builds posterior chain strength in the exact posture golf uses.

    Coaching cues

    • Hinge back until the hamstrings load.
    • Flat back, soft knees.
    • Rotate the trunk while the hips stay quiet.
    • Return to center, then stand tall.

    Common faults

    • Rounding the back to fake depth.
    • Rotating from the low back instead of the mid back and hips.
