RDL To Rotation
A Romanian deadlift hinge followed by a trunk rotation. Links hip hinging to rotation, the golf sequence in slow motion.
hingerotation
Why it matters for golf
The swing is a hinge that rotates. Loading the hamstrings in a hinge and then rotating teaches the body to turn from a loaded hip instead of a rounded back. It builds posterior chain strength in the exact posture golf uses.
Coaching cues
- Hinge back until the hamstrings load.
- Flat back, soft knees.
- Rotate the trunk while the hips stay quiet.
- Return to center, then stand tall.
Common faults
- Rounding the back to fake depth.
- Rotating from the low back instead of the mid back and hips.
