    Loading Step To Swing

A step into the trail side followed by a swing motion. Grooves the load and shift sequence that starts the downswing.

    Why it matters for golf

This drill rehearses the swing's opening move, stepping into the trail side, loading it, then shifting and turning through. It teaches golfers to feel pressure move before rotation happens, which cleans up sequencing and adds usable speed.

    Coaching cues

    • Step in and load the trail hip.
    • Feel pressure arrive before you turn.
    • Shift to the lead side, then swing through.
    • Smooth rhythm, no rushing.

    Common faults

    • Turning before the shift finishes.
    • Swaying past the trail foot instead of loading into it.
<!-- VERIFY against video: Assumed a step into trail side load followed by a swing motion; confirm the footwork and whether a club is used. -->
