    Why it matters for golf

Jumping lunges add speed to a single leg pattern, training the legs to produce and absorb force one side at a time. That mix of power and single leg control shows up in how well a golfer uses the ground.

    Coaching cues

    • Drop into a solid lunge.
    • Explode up and switch legs in the air.
    • Land soft in the next lunge.
    • Chest tall the whole time.

    Common faults

    • Shallow landings with a wobbly front knee.
    • Torso pitching forward as fatigue sets in.
