    Dumbbell

    Dumbbell Suitcase Bulgarian Split Squat

A rear-foot-elevated split squat with one dumbbell held at the side, adding an anti-lean core demand to single leg work.

    Why it matters for golf

The single-sided load makes the trunk fight to stay level while one leg does the work. That is single leg strength and lateral core control in one lift, and both feed the weight shift and lead-side stability that create speed at impact.

    Coaching cues

    • Hold the dumbbell at your side, shoulders level.
    • Drop the back knee straight down.
    • Keep the front heel heavy.
    • Don't lean toward or away from the load.

    Common faults

    • Leaning sideways against the dumbbell.
    • Front knee caving in.
    • Pushing off the rear foot instead of the front leg.
