Dumbbell Incline Row
A chest-supported dumbbell row on an incline bench that isolates the upper back without loading the lower back.

Why it matters for golf
The bench takes the low back out of the lift so you can work the upper back muscles that hold golf posture. Strong lats and rhomboids keep the spine angle stable and support a full backswing turn.
Coaching cues
- Chest stays glued to the bench.
- Row the elbows back, not just the hands.
- Squeeze the shoulder blades at the top.
- Lower all the way, keep tension.
Common faults
- Lifting the chest off the pad to cheat the row.
- Shrugging instead of rowing.
- Short, bouncy half reps.
