About
Zac Ansaldo is the owner and head coach of Florida Athletic Club (FAC), a strength and conditioning facility located in the heart of downtown Sarasota at the corner of Osprey and Main. From his Gulf Coast home base, Zac serves a member community that spans Sarasota, Siesta Key, Lakewood Ranch, Longboat Key, and the surrounding Suncoast — a region where year-round sunshine, an active 55+ population, and one of the densest concentrations of golf courses in Florida make athletic longevity a way of life.
FAC's programming reflects that reality. The club runs small-group personal training, 1:1 coaching, and hybrid in-person/remote programs, with additional services in massage therapy, physical therapy, and mental performance coaching. Members range from competitive athletes to weekend golfers looking to add yardage off the tee, post-surgical clients rebuilding rotational power, and over-65 members protecting the mobility, balance, and hip-shoulder separation that keep them playing 18 holes well into their 70s and 80s.
Zac's coaching philosophy is rooted in functional movement expertise and assessment-driven program design — meeting each athlete where they are and building from there. His background includes ownership of Seaward CrossFit and earlier work as a functional fitness coach at Brave Enough CrossFit, where he honed his approach to personal training and nutritional coaching. Peers consistently point to his passion for teaching clients how to lift and move properly, and FAC's brand voice carries that same conviction: no quick fixes, no magic powders — real food, real training, real results.
For the Sarasota golfer in particular, that translates to programming that supports the demands of the modern swing: thoracic mobility, single-leg stability, anti-rotational core strength, hip internal rotation, and the kind of durable strength base that lets a player practice and compete without breaking down. Whether the goal is breaking 80, breaking a PR, or simply being able to keep up with the grandkids on the beach, Zac builds plans that make sense for the individual in front of him.
